Public buildings People gathering and evacuation
Public buildings In terms of people flow organization, it can be summarized as two ways: plane and three-dimensional. The flow of people in small and medium-sized public buildings is relatively simple, and the plane organization mode is mostly adopted. Large scale public buildings, due to their complex functional requirements, need to use three-dimensional methods to organize people flow activities, such as large-scale transportation buildings.
People evacuation in public buildings can be continuous (hospitals, shops, hotels), centralized (cinemas, halls and gyms), and both continuous and centralized (exhibition halls, schools, railway passenger stations).
The regulation of function on the quantity, shape and quality of a single space
Public buildings The size, capacity and shape of a single building space, as well as the lighting, ventilation and sunshine conditions are the basic factors of applicability. They are also important aspects of building function problems, which should be comprehensively considered and solved in the design.
